Sounds Rad

Founded as an experiment in connecting digital releases with physical merchandise (apparel, pins, books), Sounds Rad! releases new and reissued albums from American punk, pop-punk, and power pop bands. Its first experiment—a mixed media release by author Frank Portman, author of the critically acclaimed young adult book series entitled, King Dork (Random House)—introduced the concept of the ‘balbum’ (book/album) with the release of King Dork Approximately by Portman’s seminal pop-punk band, the Mr. T Experience. Branching out, Sounds Rad! is now releasing albums using traditional media–proving that no matter how many times music industry honchos say that physical releases are dead, people still want goddamn records.
